JSG Equipment Rentals rental FAQ

Pricing, deposits, delivery, cancellations, returns and damage — the way it actually works here. If your question isn't answered, call or send a request and a human will answer it.

Booking

How do I book?
Send a request with your dates and the job. We price the work and email you a quote. Approving the quote is what puts the job on the schedule.
Can I rent multiple machines?
Yes. Add as many units as we have available for your dates — availability is checked live against the fleet, including cleaning and turnaround time between rentals, so what you see is genuinely rentable.
Can I book same day?
Reservations should be made at least 12 hours in advance so the unit can be prepped and inspected. For same-day availability, call us at (208) 555-0140 and we'll check the yard.
How do I add a trailer, helmet or other gear?
Add-ons are listed with each rental class before you check out — trailers, helmets, safety gear and other extras get priced onto the same reservation, so there's one total and one contract.
When do I pick up and drop off?
Full-day rentals run 8am to 8pm. Multi-day rentals start at 8am on the pickup date and end at 8pm on the return date. Half-day and hourly blocks are scheduled when you book.

Pricing

How is the rate calculated?
Every unit is listed with the rate tiers it actually offers — hourly, half day, daily, weekly or monthly. You pick the tier that fits the job and the system prices the whole reservation from it, so a week never costs seven daily rates by accident.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes — multi-day rentals step down 10% on each subsequent day, and weekly and monthly tiers are already discounted against the daily rate. Both are applied automatically when the reservation is priced.
What about tax?
Sales tax is applied per brand and per state where the rental happens — Idaho rentals are taxed at 6%. The exact tax shows as its own line on your quote and receipt before you pay.
Is delivery available?
Yes. Delivery is $95 base plus $5 per one-way mile from the yard to your site, quoted on the reservation before you approve it.
How do I pay?
Checkout runs on secure hosted card payments — you never send us card details over email or the phone. On larger reservations (roughly $1,000 and up) bank debit (ACH) is offered at checkout too, which costs less in fees on big-ticket jobs.

Deposits and contracts

Do you take a security deposit?
Deposits are set per brand and per equipment type. In most cases it's an authorization hold on your card — the money is reserved, not charged — and it's released after the unit comes back clean and undamaged. Some fleets use a flat deposit collected at pickup instead. Your exact deposit is shown on the reservation before you confirm.
When is the hold released?
As soon as the return is checked in and inspected. Banks typically show the released funds within a few business days. If there are charges, we capture only what's owed and release the rest.
What do I sign?
The approved quote is your rental contract — signing it locks the scope, the rate and the terms for the job.

Cancellations and changes

What's the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are set per brand and can differ by equipment type — refund windows, partial-refund windows, late-cancel and no-show fees. The exact policy that applies to your booking is shown on the booking page and repeated on your confirmation.
Can I change my dates?
Contact us as early as you can. If the unit is free for the new dates we'll move it and re-price the reservation. Date changes made inside a cancellation window may still be treated as a cancellation.

Returns and damage

What happens at return?
We check the unit in against its pre-rental inspection: hours or miles, fuel, condition, and any missing gear. You get an emailed return receipt confirming the check-in the same day.
How are damage charges handled?
Damage and repair items are billed from a published catalog — jack replacement on a trailer, jet ski wear ring, hull or gel-coat repair, side-by-side body panels, and so on — so charges are consistent, not invented at the counter. Each line is photographed, itemized and emailed to you before anything is captured from your deposit.
Do I need to clean or fuel it?
Return it fueled and reasonably clean. Normal trail dirt is expected and we handle it in turnaround. Excessive cleaning, missing fuel, or damage beyond normal wear is billed at published rates.
What if I'm late bringing it back?
Late returns are charged at the applicable rate tier and can put the next customer's rental at risk, so call us the moment you know. Overdue units show on our dispatch board immediately.

Service on your own equipment

Do you service machines I already own?
Yes — maintenance, repairs, seasonal prep and pre-trip inspections. Send the details from the service page and you'll get a written estimate before any work starts.
